Meeting with the National Centre for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation (NCSC) on the Reboot of China's Voluntary Carbon Market

On 1st August, European Chamber Carbon Market Sub-working Group welcomed Director Liu Haiyan from the National Centre for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation (NCSC), to debrief members on the policy and progress of China's voluntary greenhouse gas emission reduction mechanism and share the prospect of CCER restart. Prof. Zhang Da from the Institute of Energy, Environment and Economics, Tsinghua University, and Ms. Yutong Song from Refinitiv Carbon Research team were also invited to join the panel discussion.
Mr. Ruixin Li, National Chair of European Chamber Carbon Market Working Group made the opening remarks and moderated the animated discussion during the Q&A session on topics concerning the registration, issuance, double counting, and supporting rules of CCER, carbon finance, as well as the impact of CCER on other green mechanisms, etc.
